Location & Size

Nebbi Municipality is located North West of Kampala at a latitude of 2.47917 North of the Equator at a longitude of 31.0900 East of Green witch Meridian and at an attitude of 981 Meters above sea level.  It is 423 KMs, North West of Kampala. It boarders sub counties of  Nebbi Sub County in the North, Paidha Sub County in the West, Nebbi Sub County in the South, Ndhew Sub County in the South East, and Atego and Kucwiny Sub Counties in the East.

Nebbi Municipality covers an   area of about 60 sq km traversed by Namrwodho River (a perennial river) into which Nyacara River (seasonal river) and other minor streams (mostly seasonal) drain.

It is at the Centre of roads connecting to Congo border through Goli boarder post, and also serves as a major link through a well-developed highway to other west Nile districts like Arua, Maracha, Koboko, Yumbe and Moyo which also connect to the south Sudanese border.
