The Minister of State for Minerals in the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development, Nyamutoro Phiona signs the book to endorse Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba for presidency come 20231 as the Mayor and other politicians look on.

Civil servants tipped on the use of patriotism to fight corruption.

The Minister of State for Minerals in the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development and also Woman Member of parliament, Nebbi district has paid a courtesy call to Nebbi Municipal Council with a call to civil Servants and the political wing to embrace patriotism spirit that is being ushered in by the Patriotic league of Uganda chaired by the chief of Defence Forces, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba.

The legislator also promised Nebbi Municipal Council that soon they will have their own health facility and a Health Centre III in one of the divisions.

On the issue of the Bus that she donated to the teachers, the Minister categorically clarified that the bus belongs to all the teachers of both Nebbi Municipality and Nebbi district local government teachers Association.

Meanwhile Nyamutoro revealed that their purpose as politicians is to re-awaken the patriotism spirit of civil servants and members of the community at the grass root because patriotism is love for one’s country and it’s a phenomenon that supports every one.

She says civil servants can use patriotism to fight corruption by reporting all the corruption tendencies and stay clear of the vice.

Furthermore, in the same vain, the Mayor Nebbi Municipal Council, Opar Jackline, applauded the minister for the new ambulance that NMC received but urged the minister to expedite the process of acquiring a health facility for the Municipality.

She further lobbied for support of Equipment for Nebbi Soccer Academy that is doing a very good job of training the young generation sports activities

The Town Clerk Nebbi Municipal Council, meanwhile used this opportunity to lobby for s health facility, Road equipment that the Municipality always has to hire of borrow from the neighbouring districts, inability to manage wastes because of the absence heavy trucks used to collect the wastes, the inadequate funding of key activities as a result of the meagre budget as some of the challenges affecting Nebbi Municipality.

In the Meantime, at the same function, the Minister and other political leaders took the pleasure to endorse the Chief of Defence Forces, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba for presidency come 2031.
